Prices
The painting will be in oil on canvas or panel, unvarnished and unframed.
Prices begin at £350 for a 20cm x 20cm single figure (head and shoulders) with a plain background. The price will increase for larger portraits, multiple figures, complex elements or backgrounds or full-figure/half-figure pictures.
Both the artist and the commissioner sign an agreement that clarifies the costs and process. An (outdated!) example Agreement is shown below:
There is a non-refundable deposit of £100. When the portrait is complete, I will email you an image and if you are satisfied you then pay the balance and I will post the portrait to you. If you live near Chipping Sodbury I can deliver it. Postage and packing is an extra cost to be agreed at the start.
